The North Kazakhstan region has its own natural pearl, which is one of the ten tourist places of national significance and annually attracts tourists fr om all over the country. It is positioned as the Imantau-Shalkar resort area, and all the most important tourist and natural attractions are located here. A landscape in which you can find small mountains, dense forests, and of course reservoirs, the most important of which are Lake Shalkar and Imantau. The resort area also includes many protected archaeological and architectural monuments.
Mostly local reservoirs contain fresh clear water, but there is one exception – Lake Shalkar. The water of this lake is close to the sea in its composition, which is why it is famous for its healing properties. The reason for this lies in the fact that Shalkar – does not have river drains. Coming here, a tourist can walk through a dense pine forest (the trees of which are relict), stretch his legs climbing the rocky ledges, and finally enjoy the sandy beaches of the lake.
